thats me in the orange jersey riding for CYCLE CAMBRIDGE. this was the 2008 provincial cyclocross champs at cedarvale park in toronto. awesome conditions....the run up was the most insane off camber stuff all year. lots of mud and snow. didnt do too bad at the start but the fitness was not there to keep it going. finished well back but was happy with my effort.

here is a pic of my beautiful wife in the red top on their miami cruise january 2008. hopefully, weather permitting, we will be leaving on january 22/2009 for the same trip.

the reason why i put up the image of the sniper is because i am a former member of the CANADIAN ARMED FORCES. i served with the 3RD BATTALLION P.P.C.L.I. for 3 years. i went o the former YUGOSLAVIA as a peacekeeper from october 1992 to march 0f 1993. no, i am not a sniper at any level, but just like the image that they brought to the armed forces from their time served in afghanistan. if i had stayed in, i would have been in 20 years in 2009 at the age of 39!!!!.....looking back sometimes i think i should have, but hindsight is 20/20!!!! i really enjoyed my time there as it was what i called the "university of life experiences", hahaha....

indoor charity ride x-mas eve......4.5 hrs on a fluid trainer with team members. thank god someone cam with beer and helped with my on bike carbo loading!!!!!!! this was taken at THE HUB BICYCLE SHOP in hespeler. long day.........

woke up this morning and drove my wife to work. 10 cm of snow met us going out thru the door.....holy shit!!!! it was ok last night after my run, seems to creep up on us during the wee hours. the long dark nights and terrible grey days makes me want to sleep alot...cant though, gotta train for 2009!!!! francine and kelrock mad the journey down from port elgin just after boxing day, nice to see them again. they left the following day to return to providence before a nasty cold snap froze up the roads. thanks kieth for the reebok clothing...need to get some shoes now to finish off the setup.
